Commissioning Guidelines

I require 50% paid up front through Paypal before I begin your piece.  Once I've received this, I will begin work and can show you as many or as few WIP images as you'd like for feedback purposes (within reason, of course).  When I've finished the piece I'll send you a watermarked version at a low DPI and you'll send the last half of the payment.  Then you'll receive the full DPI version with no watermark and we're all done.

Commissions are to be used for personal means only (please note me if you're interested in something commercial) and I retain the right to turn down a potential commission for any reason.  Commissions will be posted in my DeviantArt gallery and personal website unless otherwise requested and full credit will be given to the commissioner.  I would request that you please give me credit if you post the image elsewhere, and I will also include a small (very inconspicuous) symbol signature somewhere on the piece.

All commissions will be done digitally in Photoshop or similar software.  Please browse through my gallery to get a feel for my drawing capabilities and how I tend to represent things.  Your commission should take me at most two weeks to complete unless I am very busy with school (I'll let you know if I think it might take longer from the start).

Things I enjoy drawing: male characters, organic shapes, fantasy, sci-fi, Victorian clothing, World of Warcraft characters, ROBOTS
Things I don't have (m)any references of but am confident I can draw: females, anthro (I will probably give you a discount on this since it would be a learning experience), animals, children, elderly people

Things I am pretty bad at: sexualized women (I am fine with artistic nudity, though), super muscled people, cutesy stuff
Things I will not draw: erotica, really weird fetish stuff (note me if you think it's debatable)

Pricing

Prices are for one character only; please send me a note if you're considering more than that and we can see about working something out.  My pricing might seem a little bit high considering there are a lot of people doing drawings for the equivalent of like 30-150 cents, but I'm a full time student and it's not worth it for me to put in hours of work on a piece for a really tiny sum.

Sketch/Rough:
(flat colours and sketchy line work; sometimes some rough shading)

Bust – $10

Waist-up – $15

Full-body – $25

Painting:
(full colour and shading)

Bust – $20

Waist-up – $30

Full-body – $50

Simple background – included
Complex background – depends on complexity.  Anything super detailed will be expensive because they're incredibly time-consuming.   Something of this quality of background (but in colour) would cost an additional $40-50 because it will take me longer than the figure.

What I need from you

If you're still interested in commissioning me, please feel free to send me a note where you specify what type of image I'll be creating (ie. "painted waist-up").  I'll need to know the subject matter, so please send me a good description or a visual reference of the character.  The more references and/or descriptive stuff you send me, the better I can represent your character.  Please feel free to let me know if you have any preference of pose, colour schemes, canvas size ratio.  The more info I get, the closer the final image will be to your idea.

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to note me and I'll try to reply ASAP.

Well I definitely see that! It does look awesome! How about this you draw me a sketch of my cover and then we will start talking!

I need 50% of the price paid up front before I begin any drawings. Please sent me a note with what you'd like to have done if you're interested and we can work something out. :)
